3-1 Manage Scan Rules

Scan It provides two methods to set the scan rules: Built-In Scan Rules and Custom Scan Rules.

[Notes] The following features are available in both Scan It for Jira and Scan It for Confluence.

Built-In Scan Rules

Built-In Scan Rules are the pre-defined rules provided by app vendor. (We are PLATEER.)

In ‘Settings > Built-In Scan Rules’ tab, check the scan rule list and set whether or not to enable each rule.

Manage Built-In Scan Rules

We are providing the following kinds of the Built-In Scan Rules.

• Passport Number

• Credit Card Number

• Email Address

• IP Address

• Phone Number (International, US, Korea)

• Other Personal Information (US SSN, Korea Resident Registration Number, Korea Driver’s License Number)

Custom Scan Rules

Custom Scan Rules are the user-defined rules that can define by themselves.

In ‘Settins > Custom Scan Rules’ tab, create or edit the scan rules.

Manage Custom Scan Rules

Click the 'Add Rule' button to create the Custom Rule.

• Name: Name of the Custorm Scan Rule

• Description: Description of the Custom Scan Rule

• Pattern(RegEx): Regular Expressions of the Custom Scan Rule

  • Enter Regular Expressions except for the front and back delimiter, slash('/').

  • Click the ‘Validate pattern’ button to check if Regular Expression entered is grammatically correct.

  • Click the ‘Test string’ button to see if the string you entered matches Regular Expressions.

• Use: Sets whether the rule is enabled or not.

Click the pencil or trash in ‘Actions’ column, to edit or delete the Custom Scan Rules.
