2.1 Installation

The Site or System Administrator can install Scan It for Jira or Scan It for Confluence by following the procedure below.

  1. Log into your Jira or Confluence instance.

  2. Click the Apps dropdown and choose Find new apps.
    The Find new apps screen loads.

  3. Search for Scan It for Jira or Scan It for Confluence and click on the app tile.
    The App Details screen loads.

  4. Click Try it free to start installing your app.

  5. You're all set!
    Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.

2.2 App Permissions

To use all the features of Scan It, users must have the Jira or Confluence Administration privileges.

We assume that all users that have the Jira or Confluence Administration privilege as App Admins.

We recommend that create ‘scan-it-admins’ user group, grant the Jira or Confluence Administration privilege to this group, and add users to this group.

Most administrators of Jira have the Jira or Confluence Administration privileges, like

  • administrators

  • site-admins

  • jira-adminstrators

  • jira-admins-SITE_NAME

  • confluence-admins-SITE_NAME

  • …

Users who are not App Admins are treated as regular users. Regular users cannot use the features of Scan It.
